Fountain PlaqueOn the day of the Harmonic Concordance in Nov. 2003, a group of Fountain friends met by the plaque at the Fountain in the Old Stein, Brighton. We were dismayed to find the beautiful, inscribed chequerboard had been ripped from its frame.

Nonetheless, we gathered in meditation and Joy Byner read again the Proclamation of the Church of Love which Colin Bloy had read on the happy occasion when the plaque had been dedicated on Sept. 29th at the Fountain Conference in the Millennium year 2000.

Saddened as we were, there was a strong feeling that all should be done to replace this unique tribute to Fountain origins and so with the help of David Russell, who drew up a copy of the original plate, I set out to get a replica made. I have since become well-informed about the various thickness of stainless steel and the pros and cons of etching and engraving. Finally, I found a company who were prepared to make and instal the plaque as vandal proof as possible.

Now our impressive plaque is once more at the foot of the Fountain which gave us its name in 1981. At our local meeting in Shoreham, a member led us in a prayer of blessing and protection against further damage, and I am indebted to the group for their generous contribution toward the costs.

When you are next in Brighton, please visit the Fountain and at the plaque give a few moments of Love, Light and Harmony and so strengthen the energies which radiate from this powerful centre to all Fountain groups and people world-wide.

Now on a lighter note, would any of the dowsers among us like to help in trying to trace the whereabouts of the missing plate (pictured here), or even why it was removed, and someone may even retrieve it! We look forward to your findings.
